River Bend Sportsman's Resort is one of the finest hunting clubs and executive retreats in the Southeast. This hunting resort is on 522 acres, with river frontage, that features a 9,000-square-foot lodge and 4,500-square-foot Four Bedroom River Bend cottage. The main lodge bears all the trappings of a preferred destination. The lofty ceiling is fitted with a fireplace, comfortable furniture, two dining rooms, commercial and prep kitchens, steam rooms, bar and pro shop. Atop a hill the original lodge, built in 1985, has been converted into a 2,000-square-foot conference center. Duck hunting is better at River Bend. Here, there's no getting up before dawn to get to a blind. River Bend provides a hearty breakfast and will take you to the blinds at 9am. Due to River Bend's special permit, the only requirement is a S.C. Small Game License (for S.C. residents) or a Non-resident Shooting Preserve Permit (for non-residents). Duck hunting season begins November 1st and runs until March 1st.

Waiting in a blind for pheasants to rocket past from a seventy-five foot tower makes for an unforgettable hunting experience. This is the perfect activity to entertain groups of 15 to 30 from October through March.
Tower shoots include a southern-style breakfast and lunch, skeet range warm up, two boxes of shells, 10 pheasants released per person, money birds and cleaning and packaging of birds. Breakfast is served at 8:30am and the shoot is over around noon.
Sporting Clays is a sport that offers the thrill of game hunting without the kill. Clay targets are thrown at varying speeds, angles and heights to simulate the path of hunting game. At River Bend, shooters find out why Sporting Clays is the nation's fastest growing shooting sport.
River Bend's fully automated sporting clays course makes shotgun shooting an enjoyable experience. Shooters can now come in to the lodge and within minutes be on their way out to the course. Sporting Clay's electric carts are also available to rent. It is even possible for shooters to shoot and practice solo. The control allows you to set a delay of up to ten seconds so you can push the button and have plenty of time to prepare for the target.
Any individual interested in wing or clays shooting instruction will benefit from lessons at River Bend by Dan Schindler, owner of the Paragon School of Sporting. Dan, one of the best wingshooting and clays instructors in the U.S., was recently filmed at River Bend for The Outdoor Channel TV show "Shooting Gallery."
Sharpen your skills on River Bend's Rifle and Pistol Range. Pistol & rifle instruction is available from a qualified NRA instructor. Shotgun instruction with NRA qualified instructors is also available.
